Project Feature: TAMU MSC & University Center Complex Project Louver Case Study and Installation
Mother Nature packs a heavy punch with wind-driven rain and other severe conditions. Standing up to the storm, Airolite's model SCH8 is a 8" deep Storm Class combination louver designed and rated to provide high volume intake and exhaust ventilation and the greatest level of protection against water penetration. The design incorporated exterior and interior louver modules providing flexibility in aesthetic, economic and performance considerations. With each louver section weighing over 600 pounds, J.M. Maly's installation crew was met with the challenge of hoisting, setting, vertically stacking and mounting the louvers through the wall openings, of course without damaging the adjacent existing trees. Mike Leath and his crew persevered as usual and did a great job! J.M.
