J.M. Maly, Inc. was chosen to assist with design, furnish, and install vertical and horizontal sunshades on the anticipated prestigious LEED Gold certified project.  The two buildings were designed for energy efficiency, will meet LEED standards and will include a “Green Roof".  LEED design conception incorporating sunshades will reduce solar heat gain by shading vision areas while allowing natural daylighting.  Use of the sunshades can help lower building cooling costs and energy use attributed to air-conditioning by a substantial percentage.  JMMI Superintendent Mike Leath and his team installed 25,244 square feet of Airfoil type sunshades manufactured by Airolite Company.
